Rock Music For The Job Search
Yes.. a compelling, online presence is important. Yes.. prepping for job interviews and following up is critical. But, sometimes you just have to rock ‘n’ roll!
I’ve always been a huge rock ‘n’ roll fan.. punk, goth, new wave, pop rock, heavy metal.. I love listening to it all while working and playing, which inspired this blog post: Rock music for the job search – a slight departure from my usual content.
Just for fun, I hand picked rock songs that I feel capture the mood of each stage of the job search. What do you think? Add your comments and additions!

Too cute!
I suppose my age belies me, but I relate more to the older tunes than the newer ones — I’ve played “All Star” during sales training sessions to get the group’s adrenaline going.
Good post!

Jim.. Thanks for your comments! That song you mentioned from Otis Redding definitely emits.. relaxation. A good song for several months after your next job starts and you’ve settled in.
Best,
